Eurolanche in Chicago

Eurolanche in ChicagoMembers of seventh trip to Denver made a visit to Chicago too.

Eurolanche Invasion VII is unique project in many ways. The best proof are two flights outside Denver. Two members flew to Chicago, other three fans were in San Francisco. Idea to visit Chicago was born immediately at the time of creating the Invasion VII schedule. Plane tickets cost around 100 dollars, accomodation was free of charge thanks our friend.

Sole negative moment of our trip to Chicago were flights with Frontier - low coast airline charged us extra for everything including carry on baggage. I can't forget on big delay on a way back. But let's write about better experience.

Our Slovak friend took care about us on the first day. We enjoyed really great lunch and beers at the Slovak restaurant. You can hardly find so good Slovak food even in Slovakia. After that we moved to other friend's place - a skyscraper that has 42 floors, pool and spa. Luxury!

First full day in Chicago was about long walks in center of a city. There was even colder than in Denver. We walked to United Center and met few Blackhawks players. We were also on the top of 102nd floor of Willis Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. It was perfect taking pictures on the plexi-floor.

After relax time in the pool we were back again next to stadium. We watched a great win by the Colorado Avalanche. Local atmosphere was solid at the start of the game, but went to normal noise in the following periods.

There was extreme cold on the next day, even the schools had to be closed. Finally, we landed safely in Denver.

You will find a recap of San Francisco trip soon at Eurolanche.com.
